12 Cozy Books That Will Warm Your Heart This Autumn

Cozy books are having a real moment, especially in autumn and winter, when readers crave comfort and low-stakes storytelling.

Whether you love whimsical fantasy, small-town romance, or mysteries with a lighter touch, there’s a cozy read out there for you. I love reading a mixture of genres in autumn, but my TBR at this time of year tends to be structured around horror, small-town romance and cozy fantasies and mysteries. I love a good cozy book as a palate cleanser after reading a horror!

Here are 12 cozy books that will warm your heart this autumn, perfect for curling up with a blanket and a steaming mug of something delicious.

1. The Pumpkin Spice Café – Laurie Gilmore

Genre: Cozy Romance
If autumn is your favourite season, this book is like wrapping yourself in a pumpkin-spiced blanket. Set in a charming small town, it’s brimming with café warmth, sweet romance, and festive seasonal vibes. This book has a special place in my heart and started a love affair with the Dream Harbor series.
